youtube-dl download of the flv slow

Good afternoon,
I'm doing tests on youtube-dl.
Where do I download the flv format is much slower than in mp4 format.
The speed of my server is 100M / s, it was not to take more than 1 minute for videos of 40m.
This is normal?
If yes, is there any alternative?
I do not want to restrict downloads.

It's normal, YT tailors the speed on the level it thinks you'll need, so a smaller resolutions have a smalled bandwidth.
See #648, we're thinking about a couple of hacks that could help, but no guarantees!
