I have the same problem but for you you seems like using youtube-dl version 2015.06.04.1
try to update your youtube-dl
youtube-dl -U
who know maybe it will work ..

I installed using sudo apt-get install youtube-dl so it gives following error on youtube-dl -U

It looks like you installed youtube-dl with a package manager, pip, setup.py or a tarball. Please use that to update.

But running sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade does not solves the issue.

Thanks. Removing from package manager and installing manually brought the latest version which works fine.
