Signature extraction failed, seemingly overnight.

Just tried to use basic youtube-dl [link] today and it suddenly is spitting out a "signature extraction failed" error that wasn't there yesterday. Made sure that I had the latest version, so I pulled the verbose error message for better reference (and yes, I was trying to download Careless Whisper).
