Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information

I am requesting site-support for FXX.com. As far as I can see, all the videos are georestricted to the US, and you do have to log in. But the first time you visit the site, you get a hour long preview-pass, i.e. you have free access (except georestriction) for one hour.

The site is using ThePlatform but most of the content requires an auth token (which you get by logging in or getting a preview pass). It's relatively to sniff out the request for the SMIL playlist, which contains the auth token, but it's harder to automate the process as I've yet to find exactly from where the request is sent and how it's created.

i think it uses Adobe Pass to get the auth query param value that will be passed to ThePlatform SMIL url(other sites use the same service like natgeo,fox,ae network sites...).
