Hello everyone,
I'd like to know, if I got my download interrupted, how can I resume the missing videos without downloading all over again ? is it possible? if so, please write me an example of syntax

also, let's say I want to update my folder with the new videos that have been uploaded.
can this application skip my folder existing videos, downloading only the missing ?
if so, please write me also the syntax.

it can be actually the same question.
I want to complete my folder ( missing videos ) from a specific youtube channel.

I thank you (author) so much for this great TOOL !!!

Best regards,
Liron.

If you run again youtube-dl with the same options it will resume uncomplete downloads.
If you run again with a playlist/channel url, it will resume downloads and download the new videos that have been added to it

ohhhh you mean that it is auto resumed by default without adding any parameter to the command line ?
all I need to do is to run it over and over again from time to time ?

Yes, the only requirement is that you run the command from the same directory (that way it knows if the videos have started to download and which videos have finished to download).

OK, thank you for your help.

one last thing, I see now that in my folder I have some unfinished videos, ending with .part files (..mp4.part)
so, should I delete them and run the youtube-dl again ? (to start those all over again ...)
or just run it again and it will finish downloading the .mp4.part files ?

Keep them, when you run youtube-dl again it will finish to download them and it will rename them to *.mp4
