Platform uses an older centos-7 base image as defined at managed/devops/opscli/ybops/data/gcp-metadata.yml and as referenced in the default region tables.

 gcloud compute images list | egrep centos-7
centos-7-v20210217                                      centos-cloud         centos-7                                      READY
