v4.0.0
Please note that EVERY class name changes. Run yummacss migrate before upgrading; there is no compatibility mode.
Added
- [cli]
yummacss migraterewrites a project into the 4.0 syntax.--dry-runpreviews without writing. It reads the project's owntheme.colors,theme.screensandprefix, and reports every class it left alone with the reason. - [core]
@xs:is a breakpoint at 32rem, so every t-shirt width alias names a query that exists. - [core]
@prm:applies a utility under@media (prefers-reduced-motion: reduce). - [core]
tp:ctransitionsoutline-coloralong with the other colors. - [core] Export
splitVariants, the one splitter every package reads a class name with.
Changed
- [core] A utility separates its prefix from its value with a colon -
bg-red-5is nowbg:red-5,d-fisd:f,p-4isp:4. Variants already used a colon, so a class is one grammar throughout:@sm:h:bg:red-5. Scale steps keep the dash, since a shade is one value with a step. - [core] A negative value is written
m:-4instead ofm--4. - [core] Ten variant prefixes now collide with a utility prefix,
h:being both:hoverandheight. A variant is peeled only when what remains is not itself a utility, soh:4is a height,h:m:4is a margin under:hover, andh:h:4is a height under:hover. - [core]
tt:noneandtl:autospell their value out, replacingtt-nandtl-a. Other values on both utilities are unchanged. - [lint]
@yummacss/canonis now@yummacss/lint, and its binary isyummacss-lint. The exports are unchanged. - [cli]
mergesplit the variant at the last colon and cut the prefix at a dash, which made it a no-op on every 4.0 class. It peels variants off the front and takes the prefix up to the first colon. - [nitro] A "did you mean" suggestion folds both separators before measuring distance, so a class typed the 3.x way still gets its 4.0 answer -
gap-4suggestsg:4.
Fixed
- [nitro] A negative is refused where the property cannot take one -
m:-4is a margin,w:-1is not a class. - [nitro] The tokenizer typechecks under
noUncheckedIndexedAccess.
