Compatibility List
Please use this Compatibility List instead
NOTE: Please refer to the optimal settings page and use the settings provided there. If those settings do not work, then try and change them. If a game does work with settings changed, please report this in the "Notes" section. It also may be worth running games with the framerate limiter disabled for testing, so we can gauge how well the game runs if it has a stable full speed framerate. If game does not boot, DISABLE high level emulation, this may occasionally help get the game loaded. If game is reported as not working, there is still a chance by changing settings, maybe you have the right settings to share with the rest of us? Maybe someone used a different rom version or etc. please share your compatablity. ALSO, MAKE SURE you have installed and activated the plugins for psp and reset global settings, if using a new/updated install.
When submitting a compatibility report, please follow this structure. This may be submitted via discord or as a GitHub issue.

Sample report
Daedalus version: 1.1.3
Name of game: Aerogauge (NTSC)
Playable: Yes
FPS: 17-30FPS
Sound: Yes (async)
Notes: Game runs flawlessly at 30FPS in time trial mode without other racers. It does drop down to 17FPS at the beginning of a race where all racers are at the starting line: after that point, the game runs at between 22-30FPS. Game runs fine with optimal settings.
Compatibility List
Numbers
007: The World Is Not Enough (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: YES
- Sound: NO
- FPS: 15-70FPS
- Notes: This game fluctuated on a real N64 a lot similar to Goldeneye so all things considered it runs quite well without sound. No sound at all even with synchronous audio. Disable Dynarec Loop Optimisation as this causes crashes. Game averages at a good framerate and is far more playable than GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. One graphical bug: the hand with gun usually does not appear, and when it does is only half visible.
1080 Snowboarding (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: Yes (crappy and slow)
- FPS: 8-10(async) 10 (no sound)
- Notes: DISABLED video rate match. doesnt emulate very well yet, game and audio is slow, best audio is static and slow. playable with no sound, garbage on screen?
A
Aerogauge (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 20-32FPS; 25-70FPS (sound off)
- Notes: Game runs flawlessly at 30FPS (with sound) without other racers. It does drop down to the low 20s at the beginning of a race where all racers are at the starting line: after that point, the game averages at 27FPS. Game runs fine with optimal settings. With sound disabled, the game only goes as low as 25FPS at the beginning and the game is full speed otherwise, with occasional drops to 28FPS.
Army Men: Sarges Heroes 2 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 14-20 (async) 16-28 (no sound)
- Notes: DISABLED video rate match, didnt play too much with settings
B
Banjo-Kazooie (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 9-30FPS
- Notes: Works with optimal settings. Sometimes hits full speed or slightly above, more often without sound. Momentary stutters of 5FPS or similar were not counted because they happen on a very occasional basis, such as Bottle appearing (causing a lot of particles) and last very briefly. Some minor graphical issues.
Banjo-Tooie (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async crappy)
- FPS: 1-5 (sound)
- Notes: Barely Playable... DISABLED video rate match, nothing changed it much. cut scene slow and barely working, not really playable. does load up, maybe play with sttings more.
Battletanx (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: NO
- Sound: N/A
- FPS: N/A
- Notes: Black Screen. PSP froze.
Battletanx: Global Assault (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: NO
- Sound: N/A
- FPS: N/A
- Notes: Crashes during HLE patching.
C
Cruis'n Exotica (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: Yes
- Sound: Yes (sync)
- FPS: 10-15 (sound)
- Notes: garbage on screen and background occasionally, other than that runs pretty good. music is good too.
Cruis'n USA (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: Yes
- Sound: No (async works but terrible)
- FPS: 4-11 (no sound), 2-8 (crappy sound)
- Notes: DISABLED High Level Emu, DISABLED Dynarec loop opt, DISABLED dynarec memory opt, DISABLED video rate match, Disabled sound because its crappy anyway, and it boosted fps slightly.
Cruis'n World (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 10-14 (sound)
- Notes: Plays great using optimal settings. Music is good in the menu, but static during game - audio is otherwise good. Seems to run pretty good.
D
DOOM 64 (USA) Rev. A
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 25-30 FPS (with or without audio)
- Notes: Optimal settings (without video sync? on), a bit of crackling on the sound but not annoying in any way. Internal save doesn't work, but it has password.
Dr Mario 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: NO
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 10FPS
- Notes: Menu is broken. Unable to get in-game - subject to further testing
E
Earthworm Jim 3-D (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: Yes
- Sound: Yes (sync!)
- FPS: 30-48 (sound)
- Notes: Optimal Settings. Great emulation on all levels I think. Didn't play much yet but it's running close to perfect.
Excitebike 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: Yes (altered settings)
- Sound: No
- FPS: 13-27 (no sound) 1-4 (a-sync)
- Notes: DISABLED high level emulation, DISABLED dynarec loop opt. game did not start using optimal settings, spent a lot of time trying to get it to work, so I'm happy with these results for now.
F
F-Zero X (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 30-52FPS; 40-100FPS (sound off)
- Notes: 30FPS at the start with all 30 racers on-screen, this gradually increases to the high 30s or low 40s and in first place in some maps you may get even higher. Game averages around the 40s up to the 50FPS mark in time trials, but unfortunately doesn't go much higher. Disabling sound gets phenomenal results however: with sound disabled, the game comes close to 100FPS, often in the mid 90FPS region. (Course: Silence, time trial mode - 50FPS with sound by comparison).
G
GoldenEye 007 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: YES
- Sound: NO
- FPS: 2-20FPS
- Notes: Rarely breaks above 10FPS, difficult to play but not broken in any way. Dynarec Loop Optimisation causes a crash when entering the pause menu - disable.
I
International Track & Field 2000 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES
- FPS: 4-20 (sound
- Notes: DISABLED high level emulation, DISABLED dynarec loop opt, bit choppy but playable, didn't play much yet.
L
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 10-20FPS; 14-31FPS (sound off)
- Notes: Averages around 13FPS with sound, 167PS without; definitely playable, but room for improvement. The inventory screen runs at 30FPS with sound but I decided against counting that. (I did, however, count interiors since they're part of the game). Text is often glitched - this can be fixed, however, by enabling texture update check (the higher, the slower the text un-glitches but better performance). Audio is not perfect.
Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: Yes (a-sync?)
- FPS: 3-20FPS (sound)
- Notes: Disabled "dynarec loop" just in case. "Texture Update every 2" fixes jumbled letters! Only played first levelish, defintely playable sound choppy but overall decent.
M
Mario Kart 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 18-31FPS; 25-32FPS (sound off)
- Notes: Initial stages of a race dip low (along with a momentary stutter for the first second as the course is loaded, which I didn't count) because everyone is tightly together but then it improves. Average with sound is about 26FPS and average without is about 29FPS. Some courses exhibit crashes with all dynarec speedups enabled, so experiment.
P
Paper Mario (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (sync)
- FPS: 5-25FPS; 10-30FPS (sound off)
- Notes: Works pretty well, albeit with numerous graphical glitches due to emulators in general not being very fond of Paper Mario. The game stutters each time you change the action you're doing (like going from walking to jumping, going from standing still to hammering, going from walking to spinning, etc.) which is annoying. Asynchronous audio causes graphical glitches, somehow, but I recommend having audio off for better speeds. Dynarec Memory Optimization and Dynarec Loop Optimization should be turned off, as they cause crashes and turning on Texture Update Check fixes a few graphical issues. It is also recommended to use the "Subscreen Delay Fix" cheat code or else the start menu will take much longer to show up. Everything else works great from what was tested (which is up to Chapter 4).
Perfect Dark (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: NO (very slow)
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 1-15FPS; 4-18FPS (sound off)
- Notes: This game is technically "playable", as nothing is broken; it averages around 7-10FPS and gunfights have stutters when multiple people are firing. Texture issues around Carrington Institute; I used Texture Update Check every 32 frames to fix this without much performance loss. The game actually runs at 15-30FPS in the Carrington Institute without sound, averaging 20FPS or so, but it's not a mission so I didn't count it as "in game". My PSP actually crashed with sound on before the end of the first mission.
Pilotwings 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES
- FPS: 12-55 (~26 average in game)
- Notes: With 1.1.4 the game boots and runs at full speed in the menus. Unfortunately, it crashes at the end of any level.
R
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4 (Discord nightly)
- Playable: YES
- Sound: NO
- FPS: 8-38FPS
- Notes: Boots up with a black menu screen but shows demo. Opening cutscene and gameplay for the first level ran at a playable framerate. Sound is bugged and is a garbled mess. Enable Video Rate Match to improve game speed. Minor video glitches can occur.
Resident Evil 2 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: No
- Sound: No
- FPS: n/a
- Notes: game did not load, no matter what i tried, needs more testing to get to boot.
Road Rash 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: No
- Sound: No
- FPS: 0
- Notes: FATAL FREEZE upon boot (0fps) no matter what settings i tried
S
Star Fox 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 16-30FPS; 23-55FPS (sound off)
- Notes: Disable dynarec loop optimisation or the game will hang at the start of the first mission. Game averages at around 20-25FPS with drops to 16-18FPS when an explosion or some other large-scale action is going on (the closer to the player, the worse the framerate drops?). Quickly clears up to about 30FPS once enemies aren't on-screen. Another game that gains massively with sound off, averaging 30 but dropping with explosions/action.
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: NO
- Sound: NO
- FPS: N/A
- Notes: Freezes at 0FPS upon boot.
Stunt Racer 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: No
- Sound: No
- FPS: n/a
- Notes: game did not load no matter which settings i tried so far
Super Mario 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 24-30FPS; 29-59FPS (sound off)
- Notes: If the game crashes when entering Peach's Castle, disable Dynarec Loop Optimization. Despite being known to have issues with async sound on other builds of Daedalus, the game has no crashes with async on 1.1.3! The castle area is a strong 30FPS, although it has falters, and Bob-Omb Battlefield being a massive level also has hitches. These don't drop below 24FPS however and scenes which don't overlook most of the battlefield usually hold 30FPS well. Without sound, the game almost never drops below full speed. Performance should be almost faultless come the next update. Having Texture Update Check disabled can cause wrong textures to be displayed sometimes.
Super Mario 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (sync)
- FPS: 28-31FPs (sound)
- Notes: Blue screen crash after title screen, use optimal settings then i changed: texture update= 4 frames, sound= sync, disabled dynarec memory, disabled dyanrec loop, game runs pretty damn good. sound cut out using async when mario jumps out of tunnel in beggining.
T
Top Gear Hyper-Bike (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: NO
- Sound: no
- FPS:
- Notes: with sound off game almost loaded, got to a colorful screen (40-58fps) and its stuck. TURNING OFF frame limit helped get it to load faster
Top Gear Overdrive (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: NO
- Sound: no
- FPS: n/a
- Notes: game crashes upon load, blue screen no matter settings i tried, with sound-sync& opt settings stuck at variables identified 74% closest i got so far
Top Gear Rally 2 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: NO
- Sound: no
- FPS: n/a
- Notes: opt settings (async) stuck at variable ident 24%, black screen other settings ive tried so far
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: NO
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 0-2FPS
- Notes: Boots at 2FPS and simply doesn't improve. Bizarrely, menu music is actually at full speed. Game doesn't boot without audio - why?
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: NO
- Sound: N/A
- FPS: N/A
- Notes: Fails to boot.
W
Wave Race 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.3
- Playable: YES
- Sound: YES (async)
- FPS: 13-18FPS; 16-23FPS (sound off)
- Notes: Races run at 13-16FPS with sound, 16-18FPS without - time trials run at 15-18FPS with sound, 20-23FPS without. No apparent graphical glitches.
Wipeout 64 (NTSC)
- Daedalus version: 1.1.4
- Playable: YES
- Sound: No (async is static)
- FPS: 8-10FPS; 8-11FPS (sound off)
