A Drop-in or Alternative Object server for Swift

There is nothing grossly wrong with our existing Object server, it works great. Sam, however, was compelled enough to do some parallelization and perhaps it may be interesting to try an alternative implementation, just to see how that works. -- Havana Summit, April 2013
