incr tcl missing message using win standalone version with Wine.

gorilla1536.exe
Ubuntu 10.04-64
Wine 1.3.37

Do not know if it is a wine or a gorilla password issue.
Would someone please test?

If there is a load package error then a ~/Desktop/gorilla-debug-log.txt will be created. Would you please post the contents?

No ~/Desktop/gorilla-debug-log.txt file created. How can I post you a screenshot?

incr tcl missing message using win standalone version with Wine.

My best guess, likely a Wine problem. Incr Tcl is a compiled .dll extension in the windows starpacks. Starpacks load .dll extensions by copying out the dll to a windows temp directory and then linking to that copy in some manner. I would surmise that the relevant windows API's under Wine do not act identically to a true Windows system, resulting in this message.

I do have a further question however, is there a reason you wish to use the windows executable under Wine in Linux instead of simply using the Linux version under Linux?

Simply it is the easiest way to test gorillapw under Linux without impacting on the tcl version installed (or not installed).
BTW I filed a bug under winehq bugzilla...

Ah, I see.

Did you try the packaged linux executables here on github? They are fully self contained just like the windows .exe version, and so the only potential impact they would have on an installed Linux version is the preferences file.

It worked like a charm! Thanks... well not all bad things goes bad... it seems I found a wine bug ... ;-)

What puzzle me is why gorilla15351.exe works and gorilla1536.exe do not...

Hi Marco,

did you use the latest patch version 1.5.3.6.1?

Sorry, the file is named gorilla1536.exe but in parenthesis it is (version 1.5.3.6.1)

Tested, it does not work.
BTW the bug is confirmed on the wine bugzilla even with last wine version. I think it really is not a gorilla problem.
