When you start the broker of the alpha2 distribution it does not start up:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: port out of range:-1
at java.net.InetSocketAddress.checkPort(Unknown Source)
at java.net.InetSocketAddress.(Unknown Source)
at org.camunda.tngp.broker.transport.TransportComponent.bindManagementApi(TransportComponent.java:124)
at org.camunda.tngp.broker.transport.TransportComponent.init(TransportComponent.java:47)
at org.camunda.tngp.broker.system.SystemContext.init(SystemContext.java:64)
at org.camunda.tngp.broker.Broker.start(Broker.java:36)
at org.camunda.tngp.broker.Broker.(Broker.java:19)
at org.camunda.tngp.broker.StandaloneBroker.main(StandaloneBroker.java:18)

I replaced the tngp.cfg.toml with https://github.com/camunda-tngp/camunda-tngp/blob/master/broker-core/src/test/resources/tngp.unit-test.cfg.toml - and then it starts up.

So it seems the config hasn't been updated to changes accordingly
