Today I upgraded zfs to the latest stable version on Ubuntu 14.04 server, and after reboot I couldn't see NFS shares (SMB appeared fine, but I didn't test it). The only thing helped is manual zfs share -a. Before upgrade everything worked fine.

I looked in /etc/default/zfs, only to see ZFS_MOUNT='yes' and ZFS_SHARE='yes'.

When I looked on the web, I saw a closed ticket for that: #1375. Can it be a reoccurrence of the problem? In any case, please let me know, how I can help to debug the issue.

This is quite common it seems. As you saw in the #1375 issue (which you referenced), I've rewritten the scripts completely and #2107 supersedes the #1375 and #2092 issue .

We are well aware of what the problem is and how to fix it - make sure the import+mount and the sharing part runs at different times in the boot procedure.

Currently, there's nothing you can do about this, because there's only ONE script - it needs to be two. That's what the #2106 pull request is fixing. Hopefully Brian will have time to review it in the next couple of months. It will extremely likely be in 0.6.4 (unless something happens).

I would like you to close this issue (only the original issuer, you and Brian can do this) as a duplicate - let's have ONE issue about the exact same thing and discuss the problem further if you need to in the #2107 issue.
