Normally, you cannot include spaces in a User name when creating a new User. However, after creating an Account it is possible to Edit the User Name to include spaces.

My question is, does this compromise anything? (I haven't found anything screwy yet). The Site has Email Address for Authentication not User Name, so it should not be an issue?

If there is no compelling reason to exclude spaces in the user Name, how can I change the Code so it does not prevent doing this when creating the new Account? Even if it is not a good idea, how do you do it?

That is definitely a bug.

I cannot confirm that in ZK 1.3.5. There is no way to change the username except for Users->admin->modify (right?). When trying to insert spaces (even with javascript disabled) I get an error saying spaces not allowed. As the person in the thread says, he was using ZK 1.2.9, so this seems to be fixed in the meantime. IMHO this can be closed.
