It would be nice to be able to write modules on ruby. Perhaps using SWIG too, as it's done for perl/python.

Nice idea. Ruby is becoming more and more accessible and this might be a good addition to ZNC to allow people of different disciplines and programming backgrounds to create modules.

I would also love to see modruby.
I have a bot I built that sends me an sms when someone uses my name in channel. It would be amazing to re-write that into a module for znc.
