Description of the problem or steps to reproduce

  1. Open a document longer than your screen can display
  2. Move the cursor down a few lines
  3. Keep PageDown pressed
  4. Release PageDown, keep PageUp pressed

The cursor should get stuck at the line on which you started in step 3.

asciicast

savecursor is enabled in the example but I tried with that disabled as well.
