If I hold control to activate mass editor overlay then speed limits are shown per lane. but that is too much detail
if mass edit overlay is displayed as a result of selecting a road and without holding control then speed limits are not displayed per lane.

1- should we forbid showing speed limits per lane is mass edit overlay to avoid this problem?
2- should we allow showing speed limits per lane in persistent overlay?
