This latest Windows Update broke most context menus on the task bar and system trays. I can no longer right click and bring up options on open tasks and system tray options like volume control will not open the volume slider list.

Why do you think it is related to Open-Shell?
Does the issue go away if you disable Customize taskbar (and eventually reboot)?
Does it go away when you uninstall Open-Shell?
