ctzsnooze has been actively working on improving the GPS Rescue feature (and doing a great job, I might add!), and there may be a plan to do this also. I'd like to see it too. Being able to "pause" a flight via position hold would be valuable, and I don't think it will require a compass, either, as iNAV does. |

Yes, pos hold is coming. But we are going a step further. It will use a sensor fusion model to improve on the (civilian) GPS data, which doesn't provide a lot of precision itself. |

Hi everyone.
I did some research but couldn't find anything useful. My idea is to create a method to use GPS for a position hold, like flip a switch and the quad stays at the exact position you flipped the switch. Ive been thinking about that for quite a while and thought it could be very handy, like to take off/on goggles or just for a little pause or even a emergency brake (last could make the whole function a bit more difficult to realise). I found some info that another fork from cleanflight called INAV has a feature like that included. I myself know a few things about coding, but this task is propably a bit to high for my knowledge right now. I was wondering if anyone had the same thought or desire to have that feature or if anyone is currently working at something in this direction.
greetings from switzerland
