For this project, we’ll use a model similar to that for the Linux kernel. The main “bleeding edge” repository will be cpp-netlib, where the administrators will take care of the co-ordination before the release manager (in the cpp-netlib repository) in turns pulls changes from here.

cpp-netlib will then be the “canonical release”. Active development takes place on cpp-netlib and official submissions go through here.

A diagram might be useful:

  • cpp-netlib
    • <====> glynos (documentation, stable)
    • <====> mikhailberis (bleeding edge)
    • <====> deanberris (bleeding edge)
      • ==> vexocide
      • ==> … other non-administrators
