When I try running Aisle in iplayif.com's Parchment or the latest Gargoyle, I don't see the "splash screen". It's a text box that appears when you start the game and gives an introduction that starts with "You are about to read a story". Instead, it jumps straight to the prompt. (In Gargoyle, there's a blank screen first)

It appears fine when I use Frotz 2.53. Is this a regression?

You're probably just seeing the autosave. If you enter "restart" then it will take you back to the splash screen.

Ah, yes, that's the problem. Sorry for the false alarm. I didn't know of this feature - I wonder if there should be some tooltip saying an existing game was restored, with an option to delete it.

When I tried it in Firefox's Private Browsing mode, it didn't work at all. I think it's because of a certificate problem in https://proxy.iplayif.com/ -- Chrome also gives an error on it, in both regular and incognito mode.

Yes, I agree there should be a notice.

There shouldn't be an certificate errors for proxy.iplayif.com, it's just using Cloudflare certificates.

It looks like my ISP is blocking some access to the proxy website - maybe because of its name. Oddly, Firefox isn't affected.
