Instructions:

This module only contains some of the Silent Hill 2 enhancements. For all of the features of Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition see the full Installation Guide.

  1. Download the d3d8.zip file and unzip it to your Silent Hill 2 folder.
  2. Download the SH2EEconfig.zip file.
  3. Download and install other Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition packages, see the full Installation Guide.
  4. Run the SH2EEconfig.zip and configure any settings.
  5. Click the Save & Launch Game button to start the game.

What's New?

  • Added an icon for the taskbar
  • Removed the requirement for external DirectX 9 SDK files (“D3DX9_43.dll” and “D3DCompiler_47.dll”) by loading them into memory
  • Fixed a HDD unit display issue where two units would be displayed at the same time (example "GB KB")
  • Fixed a possible crash on startup
