I've used Molly through Tor connection for some time now, without issues.

Yesterday (13th JAN 2025) I suddenly lost access to all group chats with error "You are no longer in the group".
1 on 1 chats still work and people have confirmed that it appears as if I were still in group chats without changes.
Re-inviting, removing, re-adding, nothing worked...

When I reinstalled Molly and imported chat backups I still had the same issue.

The issue was GONE only when I reinstalled and DID NOT import the backup. All groups were fine again.
That is until I re-enabled connection through Tor.
After a few minutes I was "no longer in the group" in all the groups I posted to.

After that, connecting directly, without Tor does not solve the issue, you have to reinstall and "re-register" with Signal.
Groups that I have not "posted" into with Tor have remained fine.

it appears as if one gets "banned" from groups (after posting) if connected through Tor.

Is anyone experiencing same issues? Can anyone try & confirm?
Again, it was fine for ages, it started yesterday 13. JAN 2025.

Thank you.

I understand this is likely an "upstream" ~problem, but can anyone confirm also encountering this? Thank you!

Yes, the Signal team has confirmed it: signalapp/Signal-Desktop#7130 (comment)

Seems to be fixed. 1day without the problem. I'm using v7.29.4-1-FOSS

Thanks! We haven’t got any other reports about this issue either. Closing this for now, but let us know if it happens again, and we’ll reopen.
