Currently, AdGuard Home provides the ability to block various types of content, such as ads, trackers, and malware. However, it would be really beneficial if there was an option to redirect only the domains identified as malware or phishing to a specific webpage, such as a custom self-hosted page. This would help maintain the effectiveness of other blocking options while giving users more control over the malware-blocking process.
Feature Suggestion:
It would be great if AdGuard Home had a built-in feature that allows users to:
Redirect only malware and phishing domains to a custom webpage, leaving all other filtering categories (e.g., ads, trackers) intact.
This would allow users to maintain their current settings for ad blocking, tracker blocking, etc., while giving them the option to create a clear, informative warning page specifically for malware and phishing blocks.
Use Case:
User Experience: If a user visits a site known to be malicious or phishing-related, they could see a custom page (self-hosted or otherwise) explaining the potential danger, along with recommended actions.
Flexibility: This feature would allow users to tailor their security approach without affecting other filters they may be using for ads or privacy-related content.
Why It’s Important:
Enhanced Security Awareness: Users would be informed about the risks of visiting a dangerous site directly, while still maintaining control over other types of filtering.
Customizability: A self-hosted solution would give users the ability to fully customize the appearance and content of the warning page.
I believe this would greatly improve the user experience and provide a more tailored, secure environment.
Would anyone be interested in this feature, or could anyone suggest a workaround to achieve this behavior?
