checkout v1 is working with kaniko image but v2,v3,v4 not working

HI Team 

we are able to check out the code using actions/checkout@v1 but not with the other versions and the checkout will be done in kaniko image container. 

getting below error : 
fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/prosperllc/test/: server certificate verification failed. CAfile: none CRLfile: none

any suggestions ? what could be the reason
