This is a sibling blog post to #412 . It describes the overall goals and objectives we've set for upstream contributions, and some of the specific activities we want to try in accomplishing this as a team.
@yuvipanda I haven't changed the language too much here, but I did make edits for readability etc. There are a few questions and TODOs in there (particularly related to if/when the sibling post is posted and we need to update links).
