Description

Tested versions

Reproducible in 4.5 branches (demo and dev 5)
Build is stable in older versions

System information

Windows 10, RX 5700 XT. 32gb of ram, 1tb SSD almost filled

Issue description

I wanted to try out the newest beta in production (used version control and backup). and found on bootup it would crash maybe a minute or two later.
I would boot the project and as the project runs the transition from 4.4 files to 4.5, it encounters a rendering/driver issue and crashes. ive attached the end parts of the console log. (i couldn't find anywhere the console data was stored.)

the console says a lot of time is spent changing images to a supported type by my hardware (no such thing in 4.4)
then buffers get to big, renderers get null, and it freezes, tries again with a buffer, then crashes.

I would like to also note that the crash log and behaviour of the crash changes between dev 5 and beta. dev 5 would freeze and id have to tell it to exit. whereas beta would simply crash with little freeze.
I had tested it with and without attached addons, as well as in recovery mode. which did not matter

Steps to reproduce

  1. Boot up large project
  2. Wait until the Project accessed out of date images in the rendering/storage
  3. Wait for Crash

Minimal reproduction project (MRP)

I havent found a exact cause yet, im going to be busy for a while, i can get to it sometime late next week.
