Prototype of an RC Car Simulator created using THREE.js and CANNON.js
Digital Bobs is a fictional digital media agency looking to expand their market following a drop in sales due to COVID-19 lockdowns. They specialise in creating advanced, experimental interactive 3d experiences, particularly simulations, digital games and digital gadgets.
This prototype is created as a proof-of-concept for fictional gadget retailer, The Cave, who, similar to Digital Bobs is looking for new ways to engage with their customer base following shop closures during COVID-19 lockdowns. They sell high-end, expensive gadgets, so it's harder to sell them online where people can't test them first. This is where the concept of a virtual simulation for their products was born, to help their customers trust their offering and even attract newer customers who may have never had a local shop to visit. Digital Bobs has produced this prototype to prove their capabilities with creating such simulations, starting with The Cave's remote-controlled car range.
