Description

I am encountering two issues with Microsoft Edge on Fedora 41 (RPM version):

  1. Spell Check Suggestion Issue:

    • The auto spell checker correctly identifies misspelled words and displays valid suggestions.
    • However, when I tap/click on the correct spelling from the suggestion list, no action is performed. The incorrect spelling remains unchanged.
  2. Copilot Button Not Working:

    • The Copilot button located on the top right of the Edge window does not function.
    • Clicking on it does not trigger any action, and no content or sidebar appears.

✅ Environment Details

  • OS: Fedora 41 (RPM version)
  • Edge Version: 134.0.3124.68
  • Architecture: x86_64
  • Installation Method: RPM package

🔥 Steps to Reproduce

1. For Spell Check:

  1. Open any text input field (e.g., GitHub issue, search bar).
  2. Type a misspelled word.
  3. Right-click or tap on the underlined word to see suggestions.
  4. Click on the correct spelling.
  5. Issue: No correction is applied.

2. For Copilot Issue:

  1. Launch Edge.
  2. Click on the Copilot icon (top right).
  3. Issue: No sidebar or action is triggered.

⚙️ Expected Behavior

  • Clicking on the spell check suggestion should replace the incorrect spelling with the correct one.
  • Clicking on the Copilot button should open the Copilot sidebar.

💡 Additional Information

  • I have verified that Edge is up to date.
  • Reinstalling Edge did not resolve the issue.
