Steps to reproduce

On Windows startup, Command Palette opens / activates and shows in the middle of the screen for some reason. I don't want this to just open by itself because then every time I start Windows I have this extra step of closing the Command Palette window. When I want to use Command Palette, I will open it myself. Additionally it doesn't seem to close by pressing escape key, I have to click into the text input then click outside of it. Not good.

✔️ Expected Behavior

I should never see Command Palette open unless I open it.

❌ Actual Behavior

It opens by itself on startup. It's fine to be running in the system tray, just don't activate the Palette.

If you go to Task Manager > Startup Apps, is Command Palette listed there?

Yes it is. It is in Startup apps on both my desktop and my laptop. On my laptop, it does not display the palette on startup, it just opens silently in the tray. edit: it happens on laptop as well.
On my desktop it does display the pallet on startup.

Just to reiterate what I mean, I think it should startup hidden/minimized in the system tray waiting for the activation shortcut key to show itself, not visible so that I have to dismiss it to get it out of my way every time I start my computer. And again what's worse is it doesn't startup as focused, so I have to first click inside of the text input, then I can dismiss it, which is tedious. Maybe a "Start minimized" toggle if some people like this current behavior.

FWIW, it's supposed to start minimized if it's started by PowerToys startup.

On that Startup Apps page on Task Manager, is the Status set to Enabled or Disabled?

Yes, it is there and "Enabled". It also is listed under Settings -> Apps -> Startup

Ok.. disabling that and restarting seems to have fixed it. I never had set it as startup/enabled myself.
