cross-build for 16-bit MS-DOS

are there any chance to cross-build to 16 bit MS-DOS ?

I saw the executable use about 600 kB of RAM, so maybe can run in an original MS-DOS 1 MB retrò machine, but with Unicode and regular expressions!!!

Unicode yes, but Regex is implemented by ICU which doesn't run on DOS. We currently have no plans to port it to 16-bit architectures. In fact, we even consider 32-bit architectures are secondary target. 64-bit architectures are the primary target due to their massive virtual address range.
