Are there particular pain points with GenAIScript development that these tools address?

The API surface of GenAIScript is massive. It requires deep diving to do anything more complex than chaining a few LLM calls. But with the help of a coding agent using an llms.txt file as reference, it could be a lot easier to get started.

I noticed, however, that the script that were produced were not using the domain specific API for logging, i.e. env.output.log() and cancellation, i.e. cancel. I think to take full advantage of coding assistants, there would have to be a guideline to instruct the llm to pick the correct functions.

@pelikhan I wanted to get your input on this prompt that I'm planning to use as an example in the blog post. I ran it and confirmed Github Copilot + Claude Sonnet 4 combination turns this into a functional GenAIScript. But maybe it can be improved?

Notably, I had to tell the agent to use "AST grep search functionality" which is an advanced technique that most people wouldn't know about.

I also had to tell the agent to actually follow all the links to the docs in llms.txt, which it didn't do first time.

## Task

Your task is to write a GenAIScript script called that searches for the code in a path specified by the user using the AST grep functions, looking for functions, classes, and methods that do not have JSDoc comments. Use AST grep search functionality to perform the search.

For each function, class, or method found, the script invokes a large language model call to generate JSDoc comments that explain the code, with examples of how to use it. 

The script then takes the output of this call and modifies the code to add the JSDoc comments in place, prepending the comments above the source code.

The source code is written in TypeScript.

## Output Format

- Output a single TypeScript script file named `jsdoc-commentator.genai.mts`.

Source code is writte in "TypeScript ESM for node.js v20+" so it does not spit out requires.
