In #10471 there is a high demand for a getContext command and/or API.

In a previous PR, @jrieken outlined the technical challenges to directly exposing a getContext command. Based on his comment I think the solution here is not directly exposing getContext but instead allowing logic to be executed conditionally based on a when expression.
