Starting with version 1.101.0, horizontal operations are not functioning.

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

• VS Code Version: 1.101.0
• OS Version: macOS 15.5

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open a file with long lines that extend beyond the editor viewport width
2. Try to scroll horizontally using mouse/trackpad
3. Horizontal scrolling does not work at all

Expected behavior:
In previous versions (before 1.101.0), I could scroll horizontally to view long lines that extend beyond the viewport.

Actual behavior:
Horizontal scrolling doesn't work at all. The horizontal scrollbar may appear, but scrolling horizontally with mouse/trackpad has no effect.

Additional context:
After updating to 1.101.0, horizontal scrolling stopped working completely. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if there's a new setting I need to configure. If there's a workaround or setting to restore horizontal scrolling functionality, I would appreciate the guidance.

Hi thank you for filing this issue. I am trying to reproduce this issue and am currently not able to.

Could it be you have word wrap enabled? I think I saw another issue about word wrap being enabled and the lines not being wrapped. If you run the command editor.action.toggleWordWrap are you able to horizontally scroll again?

If this does not work, could you send me your settings file.
