[Package Issue]: qBittorent.qBittorent: After Winget update, old version is still installed

• I have searched for my issue and not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
• I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.

Installation issue.

Brief description of your issue

I updated qBittorent and "Apps an Features" says 5.0.5 is installed and so does winget. However, if I start the software, it is still 5.0.4.

Steps to reproduce

Unknown. I had 5.0.4 installed (updated by winget several times I think) and updated to 5.0.5 about a week ago. Today I started it and it was 5.0.4. After manual update it is 5.0.5, so installer is fine.

Actual behavior

Old version still installed, but labeled as new version.

Expected behavior

new version installed (labeled as new version)

winget list shows qBittorrent.qBittorrent as Identifier.

Unable to reproduce the issue.

Well, if you are using some fancy "enhanced edition" you have a different pkgs, so it cannot possibly be reproduced.

How did you previously installed the package? Did you install it manually?

As i wrote: "updated by winget several times I think". Not sure whether the original verion was manual or winget, but for older updates, winget did definitely work.

did you install the update while qBittorrent was running?
if so, did you reboot after updating? if a file is busy/in use then it will sometimes only be replaced after reboot, instead of showing an error message.

I didn't quit the qBittorrent before upgrade. Is it the cause?

Install an outdated version via WinGet

tbh I dont know. Does the installer really update the version tag in registry before compelting the actual setup?! Weird.
