Description

There are two issues with this page:

1. Regarding the “current status of the major functional components for OpenTelemetry”.

What do the statuses mean? How does OTel define beta status, for example? What can and cannot change? How close is beta to “Stable” (is that the correct state change?)

2. Regarding “Important! Regardless of an API/SDK’s status, if your instrumentation relies on semantic conventions that are marked as Experimental in the semantic conventions specification, your data flow might be subject to breaking changes.”

This warning has no meaning for me unless I can determine which semantic conventions are Experimental. How do I do that?

@open-telemetry/specs-semconv-approvers is there currently a way to get conventions by status?
