Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
We're currently using Ubuntu 24.04 on our Azure Virtual Machines, but find the operating system to be clunky, disorganised and we dislike tooling being replaced with things like snapd and netplan.
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like the ability to create Azure Virtual Machines using Azure Linux 3.x. We are using Azure Linux 3.0 in our Kubernetes setup without any issues, both for nodes and as a base for our container images.
Describe alternatives you've considered
A migration to Debian is being considered, but consolidating on Azure Linux would be my preference.
