Enhance elevate-edges-on-select property to support direct edge selection

Feature Description

Request to enhance the elevate-edges-on-select property to also elevate edges when they are directly clicked/selected.

🐛 Problem

Currently, when elevate-edges-on-select is enabled:

• ✅ Selecting nodes elevates connected edges (works as expected)
• ❌ Directly clicking/selecting edges does not elevate them (counter-intuitive)

This creates an inconsistent user experience where edges can only be elevated indirectly through their connected nodes.
