Summary

Infinite nesting when Parent and Descendant are the same

Description

Steps to trigger the problem:

1. expand a class that has the same class nested

Expected Behavior: No Idea, maybe a symbol to show that it's infinite
Actual Behavior: Allowed to keep unfolding for the rest of eternity

So this Ruby class has the class class

In the debugger it allows the user to do this:

I don't think we should be deduplicating those. While in this case I agree that this is a bit redundant; however each of these classes has a distinct variable reference (so while their label are identical, we cannot assume they're the same object).

I'm gonna close out this issue. Feel free to raise it with rdbg folks.
