Looking through your logs it seems like GDB doesn't send a termination event when the debuggee should be shutdown, which is a violation of the spec. I'm going to close this issue once there's an issue report on GDB side

I tried the same operation in VSCode, and the behavior was the same. However, in VSCode, all the debug control buttons remain enabled even when the program reaches the end. You can click the Continue or Stop button to end the program, instead of only having a Restart button like in Zed
