Similar to notification permission prompting, I wonder if it's necessary to provide a mechanism for previewing if the prompt has been actioned already so the site can choose when to show a "soft" prompt before showing something that might put the user off forever.
My personal belief is that it should not provide this functionality because this may allow excessive soft-prompting without the browser or spec protections of a cool-off period. But the converse of that is that it would make showing this very high risk since you might lose the user forever. It also may get in the way of "re-prompting" in the event the site is later improved and you want the user to revise their rating.
Mainly putting this in as a place to collect thoughts and feedback from others!
