@dosu this issue seem to raise due to init_etcd which is not respecting or reading config for etcd from config.yaml or environment variables and, it is still happening, i have exactly same issue |

This is a known issue: APISIX will default to 127.0.0.1:2379 if etcd.host is not set in config.yaml or overridden by a specific environment variable. The ETCD_HOST environment variable is not automatically used unless you reference it in config.yaml (like host: ["${{ETCD_HOST}}"]) or use the reserved APISIX_DEPLOYMENT_ETCD_HOST variable, which must be set as a JSON array string (e.g., ["http://etcd:2379"]) reference. Common pitfalls are: config.yaml not mounted or not writable, missing etcd.host in config.yaml, or expecting ETCD_HOST to work automatically. If config.yaml is missing or malformed, APISIX falls back to the default localhost address reference. To fix: either set etcd.host directly in config.yaml and ensure the file is mounted and readable, or set APISIX_DEPLOYMENT_ETCD_HOST as an environment variable with the correct JSON array value. Using ETCD_HOST alone will not work unless you reference it in config.yaml. If you still see the issue after this, double-check that config.yaml is mounted at /usr/local/apisix/conf/config.yaml and is not empty or malformed. For more details, see the official docs.
