ENH: Show run code in dock as well as results?

Would it be possible for the dock to show not just output of executed code, but also the code that was run to generate a given set of outputs?

Basically mimicking the behavior or spyder/JupyterLab/RStudio?

AFAIK Hydrogen currently doesn't store inputs.

There are two ways to realise your idea:

First, you can easily implement something like RStudio's history view with Hydrogen's plugin-API
For example, there are @BenRussert 's data-explorer and my Hydrogen-Studio. (My Hydrogen-Studio is now under development and not even published)
I think my Hydrogen-Studio is good place to implement that feature and I welcome your PR.

Second, if you want to add the feature in Hydrogen itself, it needs more discussions.
Here is my idea: Store inputs and create one-line input component for every corresponding output in output view that can be toggled to show whole input.

This is possible with the history request from the jupyter messaging api, and using message ids to determine all the code ran before some thing.
