Clickable stack trace

📝 Summary

Make it possible to click line numbers on a stack trace (e.g. in the output window) and open the file in question directly at the "offending" line, similar to the issue described here: atom-community/atom-script#505. Even just for the files in the current atom project, it would be a great start.

🏁 Motivation

A lot of (if not all) IDEs have this feature and it would save a lot of time instead of fetching the files and the lines manually.

What exact kind of "line numbers" do you want to make clickable ?
Screenshots would be very helpful.

AFAIU the Jupyter kernel protocol doesn't define the detailed form of error trace (see https://jupyter-client.readthedocs.io/en/stable/messaging.html#execute), thus the trace seems unable to be implemented as language-agnostic feature.
If so, the language-specific feature is supposed to be implemented in Hydrogen plugin.
