Is it possible to use Aleph likewise Open Semantic Search?

Hello,

Is it possible to use Aleph as OSS, e.g. by creating custom ontologies and automatic association of documents to an ontology entities and facets?
As I understood so far, a list of entities in Aleph is predefined due Follow The Money Model.
Can I create my custom model?
Also, I created an entity of Person associated with my name but Aleph did associated neither document with my person even I uploaded a plenty of documents containing it.
Is Aleph capable of automatic entity association?
