mbsync vs mbgenres

I am getting my genres via the mbgenre plugin from MusicBrainz. (Works for classical music better than lastgenre). But now I saw there is a built-in plugin mbsync.

Do people use that to get their genres from MusicBrainz? Dioes it work better than mbgenres or should I stick to the latter?
