Make identifying server software easy

Is there any downside to adding a field like asgi['software'], or scope['server_software'] to the spec.

SERVER_SOFTWARE is defined in the CGI spec. If one day I want to translate ASGI to CGI, I just think it's great if it's provided by the server. But I don't know the history or good reasons for it.
