Open this link, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/windows-app-sdk/downloads This download link is broken https://aka.ms/windowsappsdk/1.6/latest/windowsappruntimeinstall-x64.exe Then I download latest stable version 1.7 https://aka.ms/windowsappsdk/1.7/1.7.250310001/windowsappruntimeinstall-x64.exe but program cant start, download again https://aka.ms/windowsappsdk/1.6/1.6.250228001/windowsappruntimeinstall-x64.exe program can start but no UI only process, download again https://aka.ms/windowsappsdk/1.6/1.6.250205002/windowsappruntimeinstall-x64.exe still no UI. I donwload from this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/windows-app-sdk/downloads-archive#windows-app-sdk-16 Last I try uninstall all existing installation then install exact version https://aka.ms/windowsappsdk/1.6/1.6.250108002/windowsappruntimeinstall-x64.exe
The program still wont show UI. |
@deansheather, can you look into this? Also, @EdwardAngert, did you face any of these in your testing on Windows? We can address this by adding a well tested troubleshooting section in docs. |
oh whoa - thanks @matifali ! I think this was exactly the error I encountered, but I think I blamed my VM, so I switched to the actual Windows box I don't have my Windows machine set up right now + I need to finish something up, so I'm going to leave some notes here that I can come back to/might be useful to anyone else who finds the broken Windows App SDK 1.6.5 installer link. that link is broken, like @fatim4h says (thanks for highlighting the issue!). MS site has a broken link to https://aka.ms/windowsappsdk/1.6/latest/windowsappruntimeinstall-x64.exe which redirects to a bing search but if you
