CSmartTable's sorter can't handle DateFormat 'DD:MM:YYYY'

I am using a CSmartTable to show me some data.
Since i also want to be able to search for the data by using the table-filter, i give the Table the already formatted date.

But it seems like the table has problems with the sorting, when i use the formatted date.

As you can see, it is being sorted by the day, without considering the year or month.
