How could I assign options for toggle command?

I tried this but it failed.

vim.keymap.set("n", "<leader>n", ":NvimTreeToggle<cr>", {current_window=true})

When I try this, it works:

vim.keymap.set("n", "<leader>n",
    function() nvim_tree_api.tree.toggle({ path = "<args>", current_window = false, focus = true, find_file = false, update_root = false }) end,
    { noremap = true })

But when I run this in split window, it will destroy my split pattern, and open the file in non-focus buffer. Maybe this is a bug, or is there other points to config?

When I try this, it works:

That looks good, except that path = "<args>" will always be ignored as that path does not exist. That does not affect us here.

I tried it with a "Clean Room" Replication and it works as intended - a new window is opened for the tree. Setting current_window = true will cause the current window to be replaced by the tree.

Please raise a bug report providing a clean room replication so that we may reproduce this.

Here is what I observed.

Firstly, I open two files, in two split buffers:

Then I run <leader>n to open another file:

Until now, it works as expected.

But when I press "enter" to open that file, it becomes like this:

What I expect it to work is like this:

it seems that nvim-tree did not open the file in current buffer, and destroyed the split pattern and leave only the untouched split into the foreground.

@CoinCheung As Alex has said, please open new issue with minimal reproducer. This way we will know if it's a bug (if you will be able to reproduce it without any other configuration) or something else interfering on your side (if you won't).
