📝 Description

I always filter my notifications by User Type, because I'm not interested in bot PRs. But this filter gets reset every day, so I need to reconfigure it every morning, which is very annoying.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

Thank you for a super useful app!

🪜 Steps To Reproduce

  1. Enable some User Type filtering (I only want User and Organization, not Bot).
  2. It works for a while.
  3. Next day, the filtering is disabled, and I get bot notifications.
  4. Goto 1.

Thanks for reporting @cesartapia - I haven't personally seen this on my machine. I've configured the same filters and will monitor its behavior.

Are you restarting your machine and/or the Gitify app between these occurrences, or is it left running

Hey @setchy, thanks for the quick answer 🙂

I don't usually restart my laptop, but it goes to sleep every night. I don't think that's the source of the problem, though. It also goes to sleep when I go for lunch, and when I come back the filter is still there.

Update: when I woke up my laptop this morning, the filter was still there, so maybe the issue has nothing to do with it.

But the point remains: the filter is randomly reset on its own from time to time 🙂

I've had it running for ~30 hrs now and haven't had any issues, including with system restarts.

I'll leave the issue open for now...

@cesartapia - i haven't been able to reproduce this throughout the week. Is this unexpected behavior still occurring for you?

Hey @setchy! Weirdly enough, no. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I didn't change anything on my settings, and I didn't update gitify.

Anyway, you can probably close this ticket. If it happens again, I'll try to get more precise info and open a new one.

Thanks for looking into it!
